Scots Win First of Two This Weekend Against Falcons

Katie Agatucci MEQUON, Wis. – The College of Wooster field hockey team defeated Concordia (Wis.) on Saturday 2-1 behind two first half goals from seniors Caitlyn O'Connor and Katie Agatucci.

O'Connor struck fast just 1:43 into the game as classmate Syd Schuster assisted on the play. However, Concordia was able to tie it before the end of the first period on a goal from Renee Lund.

Agatucci scored unassisted in the 28th minute in what would end up being the game winner. Both teams went scoreless in the second half.

Wooster outshot Concordia 19-7 and took five penalty corners to Concordia's one. Of Wooster's 19 shots, 11 were on goal.

Zoë Semersky made three saves to collect the win in the cage. She is now 2-1 on the year.

Wooster gets back in the win column to  improve to 2-1, while Concordia drops to 2-4. Both teams meet again on Sunday.
