Lucy Agurkis, Maddie Peek, Wooster field hockey 2022 All-NCAC Field Hockey Release

Senior Lucy Agurkis earned an elevation to first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference, while junior Maddie Peek debuted on the all-conference squad as a third-team selection, as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.

Agurkis, an honorable mention All-NCAC performer a season ago, started all 19 contests and finished the year with two goals and an assist. Agurkis scored one of the most memorable goals in program history, hitting an overtime game-winner against Washington & Jefferson College on October 12 when Wooster won its 600th game in program history, becoming the 12th NCAA Div. III program to hit the win milestone. The all-around standout was part of four shutouts this year and two games where the opposition did not log a single shot.

Peek was Wooster's second-leading scorer with four goals and three assists. She beat Concordia University (Wisconsin) goalkeeper Emily Binley for an overtime winner in the 68th minute on October 16, which marked Wooster's second overtime win in a five-day span. The junior scored and passed out an assist in a win over Oberlin College on September 20 and was part of Wooster's penalty corner defensive unit.

Wooster went 7-12 this fall, which included a 2-6 mark in conference play.
