10 Scots Honored for Academics by NFHCA

Maddie Peek, Wooster field hockey NFHCA Scholars of Distinction Release | NFHCA National Academic Squad Release

The College of Wooster field hockey team's Maddie Peek and Allie Toombs earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association Scholars of Distinction accolades, while eight Fighting Scots' teammates joined the duo on the NFHCA National Academic Squad. The NFHCA announced its annual academic honors in a series of announcements over the last several weeks.

Peek earns a fourth NFHCA National Scholar of Distinction certificate and is the program's third four-time qualifier since 2020. A 3.9 cumulative GPA through the most recent fall semester is required each year to make the Scholar of Distinction list.

Joining Peek and Toombs on the NFHCA National Academic Squad were sophomore Joey Beckerman, senior Delaney Gross, sophomore Lizzie Hardy, sophomore Natalie Katzenmeyer, first-year Nono Kaufman, first-year Audrey McKenna, senior Olivia Nengel, and senior Ciara O'Connor. Of note, O'Connor and Peek are four-time NFHCA National Academic Squad qualifiers. A 3.30 cumulative GPA is required for National Academic Squad status.
