Billings Scores Third-Career NCAC Athlete of the Week Honor

Jamir Billings, Wooster basketball The College of Wooster's Jamir Billings was locked in last week, and the Fighting Scots' sophomore guard earned his third-career North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week award on Monday.

Billings averaged 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists during a 2-0 week for Wooster. He dropped in a season-high 20 points during Wednesday's conference lid-lifting 87-73 win over Hiram College. In that game, Billings recorded 10 rebounds for his third-career double-digit rebound showing. His line included six assists and three steals.

On Saturday, Billings scored 15 points, grabbed five rebounds, and passed our four assists in Wooster's 68-54 win at DePauw University. He was a key defender during the game-closing stretch when Wooster did not allow a DePauw field goal in the final 9:31. Billings went 3-for-4 on three-pointers against the Tigers giving him a 7-for-10 ledger for the week.

Wooster (4-1, 2-0 NCAC) is at Ohio Wesleyan University (4-2, 1-0 NCAC) for a 7 p.m. game on Wednesday, December 7.
