The College of Wooster's Jamir Billings was locked in last week, and the Fighting Scots' sophomore guard earned his third-career North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week award on Monday.
Billings averaged 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists during a 2-0 week for Wooster. He dropped in a season-high 20 points during Wednesday's conference lid-lifting 87-73 win over Hiram College. In that game, Billings recorded 10 rebounds for his third-career double-digit rebound showing. His line included six assists and three steals.
On Saturday, Billings scored 15 points, grabbed five rebounds, and passed our four assists in Wooster's 68-54 win at DePauw University. He was a key defender during the game-closing stretch when Wooster did not allow a DePauw field goal in the final 9:31. Billings went 3-for-4 on three-pointers against the Tigers giving him a 7-for-10 ledger for the week.
Wooster (4-1, 2-0 NCAC) is at Ohio Wesleyan University (4-2, 1-0 NCAC) for a 7 p.m. game on Wednesday, December 7.
