Cline, Meredith Qualify for NABC Honors Court

Elijah Meredith, JJ Cline

NABC Academic Release

JJ Cline and Elijah Meredith are part of this year's prestigious National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court, as announced recently by the coaching organization.

Cline was named to College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District® Team. He started all 27 games and averaged 6.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game. The forward led the team in drawn charges and scored a career-high 14 points against seven-ranked University of Rochester in an early December non-conference clash.

Meredith played in 26 games and ranked second on the team at 11.4 points per night. Meredith scored a season-high 21 points on the strength of six three-pointers in a January meeting with DePauw University. The junior logged three 20-point games on the year with the others coming at Ohio Wesleyan University and against Albion College in the E.M. "Mose" Hole/Wooster Kiwanis Classic.

NABC Honors Court membership is extended to those who are a junior or senior academically, are on the varsity roster, have a least a 3.2 GPA, and whose coach is a NABC member.

Wooster, which won its North Coast Athletic Conference-leading 19th championship outright on senior Turner Kurt's buzzer-beating three-pointer in a 75-74 win over Wabash College on the final day of the regular season, went 21-6.
