Nayak Caps Fall with NCAC Athlete of the Week Honor

Krish Nayak, Wooster golf With Krish Nayak leading the way, The College of Wooster men's golf team accomplished something for the first time since 1997-98 this weekend – win multiple tournaments. Nayak, who earned medalist honors for the second time this fall, scored his second North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week award of the season on Monday.

Nayak, now a three-time NCAC Athlete of the Week, took down Bluffton University's Evan Kujaka with a par on the first playoff hole at this weekend's Beaver Fall Classic. The Scots' star shot a 147, which included a 2-under-par 70 on Saturday. Nayak dropped in six birdies during Saturday's round, including four straight, a stretch that started on hole 16 and carried over to the front nine once he made the turn.

Wooster, which finished in the top-three at all five fall events, cruised to a 16-stroke victory at Bluffton. The fall slate started with a five-stroke victory over Baldwin Wallace University at the program's Gatorade Collegiate.

Nayak averaged 75.3 strokes per round this fall and had three top-five finishes.
