DiLeo Selected for USILA Team of the Week

Vinny DiLeo, Wooster Lacrosse The College of Wooster's Vinny DiLeo averaged 6.5 points, 5.5 groundballs, and 3.0 caused turnovers per game last week, and on Tuesday, the junior attacker was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Team of the Week.

DiLeo scored a career-high seven goals in last Wednesday's 17-15 win over then-undefeated Albion College, with the goals ranking as the sixth-most in single-game program history. The attacker's nine points from the win over the Britons were three shy of the single-game program record. DiLeo scooped up eight groundballs, caused three turnovers, and had four points on three assists and a goal in Saturday's 9-6 win over Allegheny College.

Wooster, 6-0 for the first time since 2014, and on a six-game winning streak for the first time since 2015, is among the other teams receiving votes in this week's USILA/Dynamic Top-20 Coaches Poll. The Scots are now one of four teams within Div. III with a 6-0 record.

This is Wooster's second straight week having a USILA Team of the Week selection. Junior defender Casey Steffen was named to the team last week.

Wooster is currently in Colorado for spring break. The Scots take on Southwestern University (6-2) at Colorado College at 5 p.m. ET/3 p.m. MT on Friday, March 17.
