Steffen, Fink, Kellogg Earn All-NCAC Honors

Will Fink, Casey Steffen, Lane Kellogg, Wooster Lacrosse Senior Casey Steffen earned a College of Wooster men's lacrosse record third first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference certificate, while junior midfielder Will Fink (first-team) and sophomore attacker Lane Kellogg (second-team) joined the All-American defender on this year's all-conference team.

Steffen, a first-team honoree in 2021 and 2023, ranks third nationally with 3.61 caused turnovers per game. Steffen's 65 caused turnovers lead the NCAC by 15 and that total is the second-most in single-season history, trailing just the 86 the four-year star tallied as a junior. Steffen added 74 groundballs to his 2024 stat line, just eight shy of the career-best 82 from last year. This spring, Steffen caused at least four turnovers in eight games, led by a season-best eight in the year lid-lifter against Otterbein University. The defender totaled 12 games with at least four groundballs, led by a high of seven in the regular-season finale at Wabash College. He graduates with 195 caused turnovers, the fourth-most in NCAA Div. III history since caused turnovers became an official NCAA statistic in 2010.

Fink, who debuted on the all-conference team, scored a career-high 40 goals this spring. He ranked second on the team in that category and was third with 50 points. Fink's 40 goals doubled his previous season-high from 2023. The junior scored four goals in four conference contests, all of which were Wooster wins. In all, 19 of Fink's 40 goals came in conference play. Leading up to NCAC action, Fink dropped in a career-high five goals in an 11-9 win over Allegheny College on March 20. The midfielder logged his 100th career point this spring.

Kellogg, who also debuted on the all-conference team, challenged the program's single-season scoring record this spring. The sophomore ended the year at 49 goals, a total tied for the fourth-most in program history. Kellogg's 75 points check in seventh on the program's single-season leaderboard and is the highest total since 1991 when Andy Fox totaled a program-record 89 points and Steve Davidow was right behind with 83. Kellogg logged seven games with at least six points, headlined by a nine-point outing at Hiram College. Kellogg followed that four-goal, five-assist game up with five goals and three assists versus Oberlin College.

Wooster went 11-7 this spring and qualified for the NCAC Tournament for the first time since 2019.
