Scots Tie Again to Conclude Tournament

Jack Whitehouse The College of Wooster men's soccer team took another tie to conclude its trip at Penn State Behrend tournament's this weekend with a 2-2 result against Fredonia State.

After a scoreless affair against the host Lions on Saturday, the Scots answered twice to even the score on Sunday.

Fredonia State's Jacob Vallas opened scoring the 15th minute, but Wooster's Jonathan Logan scored a minute later on a shot from the right side.

Fredonia State (0-1-1) retook the lead in the 22nd minute, but Wooster tied the game again before halftime. Senior Jack Whitehouse found classmate Moody Saadi for the second time this season on an indirect free kick in the 41st minute.

Wooster (0-1-2) had two goalies each record a save as they split time in net. Sophomore Drew Beazley recorded the result in 35:23 of play, while junior Jason Prather played the remaining 24:56.

Wooster had 12 shots but only four were on goal, while Fredonia State had seven shots with four on net. Wooster also held the corner kick advantage 9-6.

Next, Wooster returns home on Thursday when they host John Carroll University.
