Third Straight Shutout Victory for Scots with 5-0 Win

Langston Hood, Miles Rochester The College of Wooster men's soccer team won its third consecutive game in dominating fashion with a 5-0 victory over Alma College on Sunday.

During this small winning streak, which has pushed Wooster's record to 3-3-2, Wooster has outscored opponents 16-0.

This one started with first-year Aion Morton-Wizgen's first goal as a Fighting Scot in just the third minute of the game.

Wooster then scored again almost two minutes later as Max Wiley found Mason Garza in the fifth minute.

Wooster got going again 20 minutes later after some substitutions when Langston Hood came off the bench to score off an assist from Jonathan Logan. Eight minutes later in the 33rd minute, Jack Giloth made a move against a defender to make it 4-0.

Wooster led with that score at halftime and would not connect again until the closing minute of the game when Hood scored again, this time from an assist from Jordan Foster.

Wooster outshot Alma (2-4) 24-7. Jason Prather made two saves for the win in net, playing just the first half. Gabriel Thomas made one save in the second to help with the combined shutout.

Wooster will take its winning streak into Hiram College on Saturday in the team's first North Coast Athletic Conference matchup.
