Two Game Winning Streak Snapped for Scots

Wiley and Garza ALBION, Mich. – The College of Wooster men's soccer team snapped its small two-game winning streak on Sunday after a 2-0 defeat at Albion College.

Albion struck twice in the first half. Brett Swaton hit the game-winner after being led beautifully down field by Karl Hunt in the eighth minute. 

Albion then was awarded a penalty kick after a handball occurred in the box on a free kick. Alex Carre-Font took the shot and got the ball through for Albion to take a 2-0 lead in the 17th minute.

Both teams had their fair share of opportunities. Albion took 19 shots, while Wooster took 17. Both teams had five corner kicks and both teams were assessed three yellow cards.

Gabriel Thomas made nine saves in goal.

Wooster entered having won back-to-back games to scores of 5-0 and 6-0. They now move to 2-3-2 on the year, while Albion improves to 3-2.

Wooster travels to Baldwin Wallace University on Wednesday.
