Wiley’s Goal Enough for Men’s Soccer in Win

Max Wiley BEREA -- Junior Max Wiley scored in the 53rd minute for the lone goal in a 1-0 win for The College of Wooster men's soccer team as they played Baldwin Wallace University on Wednesday.

Wooster took the win despite being outshot 11-9. They also took one less corner kick at 4-3.

Wiley's goal gives him three on the year, which is good enough for the team lead. He is tied with Walker Johnson for a team-best six points.

Senior Gabriel Thomas was up to the task in net, taking his second complete shutout this season. He made two saves.

Wiley had two shots in the game, both on goal. Elliot Miller and Robert Hillhouse each recorded one shot on goal as well.

Wooster moves to 3-3-2 overall while the Yellow Jackets drop to 3-4-1. Wooster will return home next Wednesday to face the ranked squad from the University of Mount Union.
