After defeating Kenyon College for the first time since 1999 on Saturday, The College of Wooster men's tennis team could not make it two-in-a-row against the Lords, falling 7-2 on Sunday.
In their final NCAC East match of the season, first-year Shivam Dewan continued his strong play with another win. This time he won after falling behind with a first set loss in the No. 4 flight, 3-6, 6-1, 6-1.
Wooster's other win came at the No. 3 doubles flight where Austin Hanna and Vakul Nath collected an 8-6 win. Wooster's other two doubles teams fell 8-0.
At the No. 1 singles flight, Joaquin Abos Amo lost 6-1, 6-1. Hanna attempted a comeback in the No. 2 flight but fell 6-2, 7-6 (3).
Alex Drewes lost 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 3 flight. Nath took his opponent to three sets but couldn't finish in the shortened third set, 6-4, 6-7 (2), 1-0 (6). Finally, Nebyou Minassie took a 6-1, 6-0 loss in the No. 6 flight.
Wooster moves to 3-6 overall and 3-3 in the NCAC East. They travel to Case Western Reserve next Sunday.
