Last Year's Showing: Wooster placed fourth last year at the NCAC Championships for the first time since 2007. Entering as the second seed from the East Division, Wooster handed Wittenberg a 5-0 loss in the opening round. The Scots then fell in the semifinals to 13th-ranked Denison, 5-0, before falling in the third-place match to DePauw, 5-0, who entered as the second-seeded equivalent from the West Division. Wooster finished the year at 12-9.

Experience From Last Year: Alex DrewesShivam Dewan and Patrick Johnson all received experience in last year's tournament. Wooster will look to the trio to bring leadership and guidance for the eight other members on the roster, six of which who enter as first-years.

Last Meeting Versus DePauw: The Scots lost a 7-2 contest at home against the Tigers on April 2. Drewes and Dewan gave Wooster its lone win in double play with a 8-6 victory in the No. 2 flight. First-year Namit Misra then gave Wooster its lone singles point with a 6-2, 7-6 (2) win the No. 5 slot. Johnson and first-year Gabriel Escobar were on the wrong end of an 8-6 score in the No. 1 doubles flight, while Escobar captured an early set in No. 1 singles flight, ultimately falling 3-6, 6-0, 6-4.

Notes From Last Week: Wooster concluded the regular season with a 5-4 loss to Allegheny College. After taking a 2-1 lead into doubles play, the Scots captured just two singles matches thanks to Dewan and Streeter. For Dewan, it was his 50th career victory across both singles and doubles play.

Title History: Wooster is one of three teams to ever win a NCAC title in men's tennis (Denison University and Kenyon College are the other two). Wooster has four NCAC titles to its name, with the most recent coming in 1996.

Double-Digits: Dewan and Drewes are the only two Scots to reach double digit wins in singles play this year. Drewes leads the way with 11 while Dewan has 10. Johnson is on the outside looking in with eight, while Misra and Connor Streeter each have seven. In doubles play, Escobar has 11, Drewes and Dewan have 9 and Johnson has eight wins.

First-Year On Top: Escobar has had to learn the hard way this year. The first-year has played the majority of singles matches in the No. 1 flight - 14 to be exact. He has three wins and will look to avenge his earlier season loss to DePauw on Friday.
