Three Earn All-NCAC Honors for Men's Tennis

Men's tennis NCAC selections The College of Wooster men's tennis team had three of its members make the All-North Coast Athletic Conference teams as released by the conference office on Friday.

Senior Alex Drewes was named to the All-NCAC second team singles squad while first-year Gabriel Escobar and sophomore Patrick Johnson teamed up for a third-team doubles spot.

All three are first-time recipients of the honor.

Drewes had the best singles record on the team at 11-10, going 2-2 in the No. 1 flight and 6-8 in the No. 2 doubles slot. He gave Wooster two points in both of their NCAC wins, and he recorded the only point in the team's matchup against Wabash College in the No. 2 singles flight.

Escobar and Johnson teamed for a 7-11 record together, going 7-9 in the No. 1 flight. Outside of teaming with one another, Escobar went 4-8 and Johnson went 1-6.

They also took the wins in the No. 1 doubles flights in both conference victories.

Wooster finished the year at 6-13 overall and 2-5 in the NCAC, ending the year in the NCAC Tournament Quarterfinal.
