First-year Anthony VanOyen led The College Wooster men's tennis team to its first win of 2024 and in the process collected his first North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week award.

VanOyen secured two wins in the team's 6-3 win over John Carroll University on Friday.

In doubles play, VanOyen teamed with Jay Dixit for a tight 8-6 win in the No. 1 flight.

Later in his No. 3 singles match, VanOyen defeated Anthony Markello in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.

VanOyen has been perfect so far in 2024, going 4-0 across two matches.

Next, Wooster (1-1) will host Otterbein University at Aspen Racquet Club on Sunday.
