Conner Pitches Her Way to NCAC Athlete of the Week Honors

First-year pitcher Tori Conner led The College of Wooster softball team to three wins last week and earned herself North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honors.

Overall, the Scots went 5-1 last week, but with Conner on the mound, she threw three complete games - two of which were shutouts.

She recorded a 3-0 record with a 0.64 ERA. Conner totaled 22 innings and allowed just two earned runs while striking out nine.

Twenty-one of her 22 innings pitched were scoreless, which included a streak of 14 innings. Conner pitched a 3-hit shutout in a win over John Carroll University, a five-hit shutout in a win over Denison University and pitched all eight innings in a 3-2 win over Oberlin College.

The Scots return to action today when they host Kenyon College in an NCAC doubleheader.
