GRANVILLE, Ohio – The College of Wooster women's swimming and diving team claimed All-NCAC honors in two events on the third day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, while men's diver Eric Jacques captured an All-NCAC honor for the men.

The women started the finals off with an All-NCAC performance in the 200 medley relay race. Hannah Langer, Molly Likins, Heidi Likins and Brooke Brown finished third with a time of 1:46.47.

Molly Likins broke her own school record in the 100 breaststroke during the morning preliminaries with a time of 1:02.58, blowing past her prior top time of 1:04.00. It was a "B" cut time and also the sixth-fastest time in Division III this year.

She could not quite reach that time in the finals but came close at 1:02.61, which was still a "B" cut time and enough for third place for all-conference recognition.

Also in the 100 breast, Brown clocked in at 1:09.53 for 13th.

Langer also had a strong prelim showing. In the 100 back, she posted Wooster's seventh fastest time at 58.99 and later swam a 1:00.14 in the "A" final for ninth place.

Madison Whitman swam in the "A" finals of the 400 IM and placed ninth with a time of 4:37.67. She was a bit faster in the prelims at 4:36.94, which was the sixth fastest time in Wooster history.

Anne Bowers led the way for Wooster in the 100 fly with a time of 58.85 for 12th place. That was the ninth fastest time at Wooster.

In the 200 free, Nell Kacmarek raced to a time of 1:57.20 for 12th as well.

On the men's side, Jacques followed up his All-NCAC performance on the 3-meter board from Wednesday to do the same Friday on the 1-meter. He tallied 413.80 points for third place, while Nicholas Rabaut followed in sixth with a score of 312.50.

Josh Gluck swam a 51.16 in the preliminaries of the 100 back, the third fastest time in Wooster history. That put him in the "A" final that night, which he finished ninth at 51.21.

Trey Schopen (11th, 51.90) and Graham Letkeman (15th, 54.39) followed Gluck in the 100 back. Schopen also was 11th in the 100 fly (49.90).

Craig Klumpp tied for the fourth fastest time at Wooster in the preliminaries of the 100 breast with a time of 59:41. In the finals, he swam a 59.75 for 16th place.

The 200 medley team of Gluck, Noah Golovan, Noah Fox and Jim Shanahan started the men off with a fifth place finish at 1:35.73.

Golovan later collected the sixth fastest 400 IM time at Wooster at 4:15.03, which was good enough for 15th. Wyatt Foss was 17th in the 200 free (1:46.66).

Kenyon College leads the men's standings with 1,316 points. Wooster has 553 points, trailing fourth place DePauw University (660).

Denison University leads the women's standings with 1,335 points. Wooster has 590 and trails Allegheny College (643) in fourth.

The final day of the championships starts with preliminary heats at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Finals take place at 6 p.m.
