GRANVILLE, Ohio – On the last day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, Madison Whitman and Molly Likins earned all conference recognition while the men's and women's swimming and diving teams both finished in fifth place.

The women's 200 breaststroke race provided plenty of excitement for the Scots. Likins had the school record entering the event at 2:21.27 and both women surpassed that time.

Likins finished third at 2:20.88, and the junior Whitman swam a 2:19.06 to place second and set the new record. Whitman shaved more than three seconds off her prelim time (2:22.57) as both her and Likins's times were NCAA "B" cuts.

While that was Whitman's first All-NCAC honor this weekend, the sophomore Likins earned her fourth of the championships (200 medley, 400 medley, 100 breast, 200 breast).

Nell Kacmarek started the women off with an eighth place finish in the 1650 free (17:53.98).

In the 100 IM, junior Brooke Brown won the "B" final in 1:01.70 to finish 10th. Classmate Lexi Riley-DiPaolo followed in 11th (1:02.18) as she improved upon her third fastest time in the Wooster records.

Junior Kate Murphy finished ninth in the 200 back (2:13.26). First-year Kay Wetmore took home a ninth place finish as well in the 200 butterfly (2:15.78).

Finally, the 400 free relay team of Avery Pearson, Likins, Brown and Riley-DiPaolo placed sixth with a time of 3:37.31.

The men also had a highlight in the 200 breast as junior Craig Klumpp placed ninth. His time of 2:08.04 inched him closer to the school record, as it's currently the second fastest time.

Eli SamuelsonGraham Letkeman and Hunter Pierson finished ninth, 10th and 11th, respectively, in the 200 back.

Senior Trey Schopen swam a 1:55.69 for 11th in the 200 fly. Sophomore Sam Muse finished 12th in the 100 IM (56.81).

Schopen then teamed with Letkeman, Wyatt Foss and Josh Gluck for a sixth place finish in the 400 free relay (3:10.84).

The men totaled 900 points as Kenyon College won the meet with 1,913 points. The women tallied 1,013 points, just short of fourth place DePauw University's 1,086 points. Denison University won the women's meet with 2,044 points.
