Scots Perfect in Win over Ohio Wesleyan

The College of Wooster men's and women's swimming and diving teams did not lose a single event in a sweep over Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday.

The men won 178-39, and the women took a 162-42 win for their 20th dual meet victory in a row.

For the women, Hallie FindlanMaddie BeckerOllie Bream and Gracie Duchon won by almost 10 seconds in the 400 medley relay (4:11.78)

Duchon (2:03.08) and Becker finished first and second in the 200 free. However, Becker came back to get the win in the 200 breast (2:32.25).

Findlan took the win in the 50 free (24.84) and the 100 free (54.34).

Bream won the 400 IM in 4:48.85. She also won the 200 fly (2:18.73) with Kay Wetmore (2:22.57) finishing in second.

In the 500 free, first-year Hadley Reckard crossed first with a time of 5:53.17.

Emma Connors won the 1000 free (11:15.32), holding off teammate Lacey Mindock (11:15.74).

First-year Emma Humbert swam a 2:16.07 to win the 200 back., while Cady Eakins won unopposed with a score of 98.25 in the 1-meter diving.

To wrap up the women's events, Duchon, Mindock, Connors and Keara Wiley won the 400 free relay in 3:56.99.

For the men, Max LikinsNoah GolovanDoak Schultz and Callum Glover fended off the Wooster B team to win in the 400 medley relay (3:39.00).

Schultz won the 200 free in 1:46.13. Likins won the 200 back in 2:03.24, and first-year Will Laymon came in second at 2:04.09.

Flynn Cowie (22.58) held off Ryan Gross (22.68) in the 50 free, while in the 100 free, Glover (48.10) fended off Gross (49.50).

Isaac Shaker won the 1000 free (10:47.23) and the 200 fly (2:02.68).

Josh Pearson took the 400 IM in 4:15.36 and later won the 500 free in 4:58.41.

Leo Edmonds-Doberenz was the top diver for the Scots with a final score of 182.55 in the 1-meter, and Tucke Andrewjeski swam a 2:16.21 for a win in the 200 breast.

Finally, Schultz, Boston Sullivan, Shaker and Ryan Gross won the 400 free in 3:16.84.

Next, the Scots will face Oberlin College and Hiram College at Oberlin on Saturday.
