Bream, who qualified by virtue of her "B" cut time of 2:03.46 at Kenyon College's Fast Chance, swam a 2:04.83 at the national championships. The 21st-place finish marked Bream's best showing in six national championship swims. Her previous best was 22nd in the 200 butterfly at the 2022 national meet.

"We are very proud of Ollie's accomplishments at the NCAA Championships," shared head coach Rob Harrington. "Her performances were lifetime bests for nationals. Competing in the NCAA Championships was a great way for Ollie to finish the season. She swam lifetime bests in her individual events and set teams records in the 400 individual medley and 400 medley relay at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships. It is very impressive that she was able to turn around after conference to compete at a very high level at nationals."
