Second Game in the Books for Scots

Namara Rwakatare BLUFFTON – The College of Wooster women's basketball team fell to Bluffton University 77-36 on Saturday in its second game this season.

First-year Ella Dean led Wooster with nine points on 4-of-8 shooting. That was a point shy of tying her season-high of 10, which she put up in the season opener.

Mia WalkerChloe Pordash and Namara Rwakatare all chipped in with six points each.

Bluffton was led with a 20-point performance from Lacie Fenstermaker who went 8-for-11 from the floor.

Bluffton (1-0) jumped out to an 8-0 lead and never looked back, leading 20-9 after one quarter and 40-15 at halftime.

Wooster shot 26 percent (15-of-57) from the floor. Bluffton countered at 47 percent (31-of-67).

Wooster will be in action again next Saturday when they host the Nan Nichols Classic. They take on Hilbert College in their first game.
