Walker Achieves Another Career-High as Scots fall to Oberlin

Mia Walker The College of Wooster women's basketball team suffered a 100-65 defeat at Oberlin College on Saturday.

First-year Mia Walker followed up a career-high 22-point performance last time out with 27 in Saturday's contest. She shot 8-of-19 from the floor and went 8-of-9 from the charity stripe.

Shalen Guilliams followed with 16 points, and Ella Biondi finished with 12 points and seven rebounds.

Oberlin's Gina Lombard scored a game-high 29 points, going 9-of-15 from 3-point range.

Oberlin shot over 50 percent for the game (40-of-79) and a 48 percent clip from downtown, making 14 3-pointers.

Wooster shot 28 percent (17-of-61) overall, 30 percent (6-of-20) from range and went 25-of-34 (74 percent) in what was a busy day at the charity stripe.

Both teams committed 11 turnovers. Wooster scored 13 points off Oberlin's turnovers, while Oberlin only scored nine. However, Oberlin won the rebounding battle 56-32.

Oberlin won every quarter, expanding an early 15-10 lead with a 14-1 run.

Oberlin moves to 13-8 overall and 6-4 in conference play. Wooster drops to 1-20 overall and 0-10 in NCAC games.
