Q: Why did you choose to attend The College of Wooster?
A: I chose to attend The College of Wooster because of the emphasis on mentored undergraduate research and everyone was so friendly on my visit. The campus felt like home from the moment I arrived.

Q: What does being a Fighting Scot student-athlete mean to you?
A: Being a Fighting Scot student-athlete means being able balance rigorous academic pursuits with playing the sport I love. It involves a commitment to both personal and team excellence, fostering discipline, time management skills, and a strong sense of community within the College's athletic and academic programs. Everyone is so supportive here and that has helped me to pursue my goals.

Q: What are some of your favorite memories as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: My favorite memory as a student at Wooster was studying abroad in Siena, Italy. I never thought I would have the chance to study abroad while playing a winter sport. I learned so much about the bubonic plague and the history of Siena during my trip.

Q: What is the best part about being a student-athlete at The College of Wooster?
A: The best part about being a student-athlete at Wooster is the opportunity to experience a well-rounded education that integrates academic rigor with athletic commitment. The College emphasizes a supportive community and I have developed lifelong bonds while playing basketball here.

Q: What else were you involved with on campus besides your sport?
A: I am the president of the Alpha Gamma Phi sorority, a resident assistant, and I work in game operations for athletics.

Q: Which College of Wooster faculty or staff member has made the greatest impact on you and why?
A: Libby Ladrach has made the greatest impact on me. Libby has been an amazing support system for me. She helped me find love for my sport and she is someone I truly look up to and aspire to be like some day. Libby has positively impacted me and so many student-athletes at Wooster and I am so appreciative of the time and effort she has put into the student-athletes here.

Q: What other people or resources impacted your Wooster experience in a positive way and how did these people and resources set you up to be successful at Wooster?
A: Rachel Novario, our former assistant athletic trainer, deeply impacted my Wooster experience. She went above and beyond as an athletic trainer and truly took a personal interest in my growth and wellbeing. She was someone I knew I could depend on and reach out to for anything. She was always there to guide and help me.

Q: Tell us a bit about your Independent Study project?
A: The aim of my Independent Study is to further investigate how racial centrality, academic motivation, and parental social support all contribute to the academic engagement of Black undergraduate students from diverse ethnic backgrounds.

Q: Tell us a bit about something cool you did as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: I studied abroad in Siena, Italy during the summer of 2022. I went with the Summer in Tuscany program that is run by Dr. Madonna Hettinger. It was an amazing experience and I was able to explore different parts of Italy with other Wooster students. It was a once in a lifetime experience and I am extremely grateful I had the opportunity to go.

Q: Reflecting back on your time at Wooster, what advice would you give your first-year self?
A: I would tell my first-year self to relax. You are going to make it through even the most stressful and difficult times, and you will have so much fun along the way. Enjoy the small moments such as hanging out with your teammates after games and doing homework in the library surrounded by friends because four years fly by.
