Chritz Named All-NCAC Third Team

Senior Alyssa Chritz (Midland, Mich.) of The College of Wooster women's basketball team was recently named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference Third Team, as released by the conference office Wednesday.

For the first time in her Wooster career, Chritz played and started in all 26 games, and she followed up with her best season to date.

Chritz led the team and was third in the conference averaging 14.9 points per game. She also tied for the team-lead with seven rebounds per game and was second at 2.1 assists per game.

In conference games alone, she was just as consistent, averaging 14.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

Chritz scored in double figures in 19 of the team's 26 games and scored 20-plus in seven including a career-high 27 in a 111-100 win over Miami-Hamilton. She also added four double-doubles this season.

In the regular season finale, she scored 25 points against first place foe DePauw University, where she scored all 18 of the team's first half points.

Her 884 minutes were the most played among her teammates. She shot 31 percent (124 of 406) from the floor and 75 percent (103-137) from the foul line.

Ohio Wesleyan University senior Kasey Schipfer was named the NCAC Player of the Year, after averaging 20.6 points and 8.9 rebounds in 14 conference games.
