The College of Wooster women's golf team shot a program-best 368 while finishing in third-place at the one-day Mount Union Fall Classic Saturday at Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance, Ohio.

A second-year varsity program, Wooster used career bests from sophomore Rainey Sullivan, freshman Alyssa Gilbert, sophomore Joanie Jenkins, and sophomore Nichole Gustafson to finish 20 strokes better than its previous low for 18 holes as a team (388).

Taking advantage of picture-perfect weather conditions, Sullivan played the par-74, 6,016-yard course in a 10-over 84, four shots less than her prior low round. She tied for fifth overall among the field of 21. Also among the top-10 was Gilbert, who tied for eighth-place via a 90, shaving three strokes off a score from two events ago.

Jenkins and senior Janet Zahorsky, playing with a sore wrist, carded matching 97s to tie for 13th. For Jenkins, it marked her first sub-100 round, while Gustafson turned in a 102 for 18th-place.

The event capped the Fighting Scots' fall season.
