Q: Why did you choose to attend The College of Wooster?
A: I chose The College of Wooster because it offers academic, athletic, and extracurricular opportunities that encompassed my interests.

Q: What does it mean to you to be a Fighting Scot student-athlete?
A: It means representing The College of Wooster as an athlete on the golf course while performing highly in academics. I take pride in building relationships with both academic and athletic faculty.

Q: What are some of your favorite memories as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: Participating in lip sync as a first-year was one of my favorite Wooster memories. The entire campus came to support Greek Life, which was a positive and uplifting experience to participate in.

Q: What's the best part about being a student-athlete at The College of Wooster?
A: I appreciate the opportunities to travel to different areas while meeting athletes from other schools. Through these travels, I have developed trusting and memorable relationships with my teammates and coach.

Q: What else were you involved with on campus besides your sport?
A: I am the president of the campus Pre-Dental Society, a peer health educator, a peer Pre-Health advisor, play on the club ice hockey team, am a member of Alpha Gamma Phi, and am part of the Future Alumni Network.

Q: Which College of Wooster faculty or staff member has made the greatest impact on you and why?
A: Dr. (Laura) Sirot has made the greatest impact on me. She was my advisor and now serves as my Independent Study advisor. She has challenged me to grow as a person and student and prepared me with a skillset to do so. I appreciate the confidence I have gained from mastering lab techniques from her.

Q: Which other people or resources impacted your Wooster experience in a positive way and how did these people/resources set you up to be successful at Wooster?
A: Dr. (Katie) Boes, the former pre-health advisor, had an overwhelming positive impact on my experience at Wooster. She continuously invested in me and my success as a student. I appreciate how trusting and honest she was during our work together.

Q: Tell us a bit about your Independent Study project?
A: I am studying the effect adipokinetic hormone has on Aedes aegypti mating patterns. I spend the bulk of my lab time rearing the mosquitoes and observing their mating patterns.

Q: Tell us a bit about something cool you did as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: I had the opportunity to travel to Pittsburgh with CreateHer during fall break in 2019. We toured women-owned businesses learning about their path in entrepreneurship.

Q: Reflecting back on your time at Wooster, what is one piece of advice you would give your first-year (freshman) self?
A: Prioritize maintaining a healthy student-life balance. To perform well as a student, you must take care of yourself including rest, healthy diet, exercise, and socializing.
