Scots Cap Fall with Fourth Top-Three Finish

Ally Siewert, Wooster Golf BLUFFTON, Ohio – The College of Wooster's 345 was the low round in the field on Sunday, and the Fighting Scots' women's golf team capped its fall slate with a runner-up finish at the five-team Bluffton University Beaver Fall Classic. Wooster opened with a 350 on Saturday to finish at 695 at the par-72, 5,600-yard Bluffton Golf Club.

Wooster's runner-up placement marked the program's fourth top-three finish in its five fall events. Individually, the Scots tallied 10 top-10 finishes, with three added to that total on Sunday.

Sophomore Ada Pan accounted for half of the top-10 finishes this fall after adding a runner-up one to the haul on Sunday. Pan shot a 163 with rounds of 80 and 83. She logged three birdies on the weekend and paired that with 17 pars.

Classmate Ally Siewert secured Wooster's sixth top-five finish of the fall, and her second top-10 outing with a 172, which was tied for fifth-place on the weekend. She birdied the par-4, 320-yard 18th hole on Sunday, then proceeded to par the next three holes of the round.

Junior Melissa Burtscher's 175 was tied for ninth-place. Burtscher signed for an 86 on Saturday and posted an 89 on Sunday. The junior played 13 holes at par or better on the weekend.

Junior Grace Lindgren was next at 185, the 18th-place total in the field. Lindgren had a five-stroke bounce back on Sunday on her way to a 90. Junior Drew Patterson rounded out the lineup at 194, which was 25th overall. Patterson had rounds of 96 and 98.

Ohio Northern University rode its 324 on Saturday to a 19-stroke victory over Wooster. The Scots made up seven strokes on the Polar Bears on Sunday.
