Wooster Claims Another NCAC Women's Golf Award

Grace Lindgren, Wooster Golf The College of Wooster women's golf team has played in nine events this academic year, and the Fighting Scots have earned the North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honor following six of them. Junior Grace Lindgren is the latest honoree, becoming the third Scot to earn the award on Monday afternoon.

Lindgren led Wooster to a seventh straight top-three finish over the weekend at the John Carroll University Spring Invitational. Lindgren's 163 was the fourth-best score in the field and she was one of three Scots with a top-six showing.

The junior fired an 80 on Saturday on the strength of super consistent play, which included pars on 11 of the 18 holes. Lindgren rolled in a birdie on the par-5, 430-yard 13th hole at Manakiki Golf Course on Sunday en route to posting an 83.

Sophomore Ada Pan earned the first four NCAC Athlete of the Week honors claimed by the Scots, while sophomore Ally Siewert was the selection three weeks ago.

Wooster is off to Indiana to play in the Franklin College Grizzly Spring Invitational April 22-23.
