Wooster Wins Third Straight Tournament, Siewert Medalist

Ally Siewert, Wooster Golf ALLIANCE, Ohio – The College of Wooster women's golf team picked up right where it left off in the fall – in the winner's circle – as the Fighting Scots won the University of Mount Union Spring Invitational on Sunday at Tannenhauf Golf Club with a 327. The win is the program's record fifth during the 2023-24 academic year, and the Scots have won three straight tournaments and five of the last six.

Ally Siewert's 80 earned the junior a second medalist honor on the year. Siewert's dominant run features five top-three finishes over Wooster's last six tournaments. Siewert birdied the par-4 No. 13 at Tannenhauf and played holes 10 through 13 at 1-under par. The junior had five pars on the front nine, including holes one through four. She played the par-5 holes at even par for the round.

Burtscher's steady round consisted of eight pars and the senior played every hole at bogey or better. Lindgren carded five pars on the front nine, including the first three holes, and likewise to Burtscher, played every hole at bogey or better.

First-year Morgan Erdmann's 84 rounded out the lineup and was a score tied for 10th-place. Erdmann's two birdies led Wooster. Those came on the par-4 sixth hole and No. 11, which is a par-3.

Wooster's B team posted a 395. First-year Paige Nicely led the B quintet with a 92, which was one off a collegiate-low.

Wooster's 327 was six strokes clear of runner-up Mount Union.
