Drawing the first start of her career, College of Wooster goalkeeper Caitlin Zusy held Notre Dame (Ohio) College scoreless into double overtime, but the Falcons found the back of the net in the 102nd minute to drop the Fighting Scots 1-0 Monday evening in a women's soccer match-up at Lyndhurst, Ohio.

The Scots (6-6-1) dominated the stat sheet, outshooting the Falcons (9-2) by a 17-10 margin and leading in corner kick attempts 7-1, and they appeared to be gaining momentum during the first overtime period. Paige Piper and Mary Riney put a handful of shots on goal, only to have Notre Dame 'keeper Kristy Kolschetzky make three of her eight saves to keep Wooster off of the scoreboard.

Finally, early in the second overtime, Alex Mannier blasted a shot towards the upper left corner of the goal that deflected off Zusy's hands for the game-winning score. Prior to that moment, Zusy had made five saves, including three key ones in the final minutes of regulation that prompted an extra period.

Overall, Piper led the team with four shot attempts, while Kyrsten Kamlowsky (3) and Riney (2) were also active on the offensive end. For Notre Dame, Mannier's goal came off the only shot attempt she took on the night.

The Scots will get back to the conference portion of their schedule when they host DePauw University Saturday at 1 p.m.
