Win Number One Secured with Dominating Performance

Teddi Farson The College of Wooster women's soccer team collected win number one on a rainy Sunday afternoon with a dominating 6-0 win over Allegheny College.

Senior Teddi Farson started the scoring with the game-winner in the 14th minute on what started as a cross but then finished as a goal.

Farson then assisted on Naomi Mann's goal in the 25th minute before scoring again herself in the 27th minute off a pass from Hallie Krzys.

Wooster (1-0-1) kept it on the offensive in the second half and took advantage of a couple Allegheny (0-2) mishaps. Krzys scored off her left foot in the 60th minute after running past the defense.

Emma Jaros scored her second collegiate goal after being on the receiving end of an opposing goal kick, and Julia Struck had a shot pinball in after initially hitting the side of the left post. It was her first collegiate goal.

Speaking of firsts, keeper Kameryn Nelson recorded her first win and shutout. She made three saves against six Allegheny shots.

Wooster took 31 shots and had 19 of them on goal. Allegheny keeper Kari May took the loss after making eight saves in the first half.

Wooster returns to play Wednesday when they travel to Muskingum University.
