Scores From Krzys, Schumacher Lead Scots to Tie

Katie Schumacher The College of Wooster women's soccer team remained undefeated after a 2-2 tie with Alma College on Saturday. 

Alma scored just 10 minutes into the contest after a throw in near their attacking zone. A cross led to a header by Paige Kohler.

However, Wooster responded in the 27th minute when Bailey Farrell assisted Hallie Krzys for her team-leading fourth goal of the season.

The scored remained 1-1 entering halftime and well into the 60th minute until senior Katie Schumacher scored on a lobbed shot from about 25 yards shot that got over the Alma keeper's head. Alma then answered on a similar long shot opporunity in the 78th minute on a kick from Lily Stephan.

Wooster outshot Alma 19-10. The Scots also took six corner kicks while holding Alma to none.

Goalkeeper Kameryn Nelson made four saves to record the tie. Her counterpart Allison Bush made three saves.

Wooster moves to 2-0-2, while Alma moves to 1-0-2. The Scots travel to Adrian College on Sunday.
