Krzys Scores Twice to Lead Scots Over Yellow Jackets

Hallie Krzys Sophomore Hallie Krzys scored twice as The College of Wooster women's soccer team outlasted Baldwin Wallace University 3-1 on Wednesday in its final non-conference game of the year.

Krzys did not do it alone as both of her goals came from passes that put her in position. She opened scoring in the 15th minute as senior Teddi Farson gave her an opening.

Krzys then had the game's final goal in the 62nd minute thanks to a double assist as Lindsey Moore found Lily Glaza who set up Krzys for the goal.

Wooster added a slick goal in the 37th minute to go ahead 2-0 as sophomore Maggie Stieby found the head of junior Mary Sirois off a corner kick. It was the first collegiate goal for Sirois and first collegiate assist for Steiby.

Wooster had little room to breathe after going up 2-0 as Baldwin Wallace found the back of the net 41 seconds later. Sydni Mudge scored off an assist from Ella Barth as Wooster took a 2-1 lead into halftime.

Goalkeeper Amanda Flory made four saves in 90 minutes as she moves to 3-2 in goal for the year.

The teams played evenly throughout as Wooster just connected more on its opportunities. They outshot the Yellow Jackets 18-16 but had four corner kicks to Baldwin Wallace's five.

Baldwin Wallace moves to 5-4 with the loss, while Wooster improves to 5-3-2 overall.

Wooster opens North Coast Athletic Conference play next when they host Oberlin College on Saturday.
