The College of Wooster women's tennis team captured its first win of the fall with a 9-0 win over Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday.
Collectively, Wooster lost just 11 games, including just one in doubles play. Otilia Oita and Janaki Jagannathan teammed at the No. 1 flight for an 8-1 win, while Cherry Patlolla and Kim Nguyen won 8-0 at the No. 2 slot.
Oita led the Scots in the No. 1 singles flight with a 6-1, 6-3 win. Jagannathan won 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 2 flight, and Patlolla won 6-0, 6-1.
Nguyen won 6-0, 6-1 in her No. 4 position and Abby Aitken won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 flight. Baldwin Wallace forfeited the No. 3 doubles match and No. 6 singles match for the final two points of the match.
Next, the Scots will participate in the Ashland University Doubles Invite, starting Sept. 30.
