ASHLAND – The College of Wooster women's tennis team wrapped up play Sunday at the Ashland University Doubles Invitational.

The women went winless on Friday in seven matches but won a trio of matches on Saturday.

Katie Materick and Abby Williams won 8-3 over John Carroll University's Kaylyn Gimbel and Jaclyn Voss, while Charitha Patlolla and Kim Nguyen won an 8-3 match against the same John Carroll pair.

Otilia Oita and Janaki Jagannathan won 8-4 against West Virginia State's Maya Haidari and Julia Daszkiewicz. The duo also got one of two wins for the Scots on Sunday as they defeated Ana Penteado and Kortney Reed 8-4.

The other win came from Materick and Williams who defeated Adiya Young and Irene Latorre Barreiro of Saginaw Valley State University 8-5.

That's a wrap on the fall season for the women. They return to action in February.
