Three College of Wooster women finished among the top-10 at the Wittenberg University/Pre NCAC Cross Country Invitational, which featured five North Coast Athletic Conference schools and two others. The Fighting Scots received another team-leading run from Colleen O'Neil, who led the women to second-place overall, while the men were paced by Luke Hutchings-Goetz and took fifth.

For the second week in a row, O'Neil had another excellent finish, this time placing fourth among a field of 97 runners in 19:18.7. The senior duo of Meredith Shaul (19:39.8) and Sarah Appleton (19:58.4) were not too far behind, taking sixth and 10th, respectively.

Also noteworthy, Chelsea Denlinger finished in 15th-place in 20:11.6, and teammate Lauren Buyan came in 23rd in 20:38.4.

The men settled for fifth despite some solid runs from Hutchings-Goetz, Kevin DeGroot, and Micah Caunter. Hutchings-Goetz took 10th-place in 26:58.9, while DeGroot nabbed 12th (27:09.3), and Caunter 16th (27:26.3).

Rounding out the men's top performers were Ethan Rudawsky in 23rd (28:13.5) and Michael Terribile in 26th (28:18.0)

Next, Wooster will compete in the All-Ohio Championships at Cedarville, Ohio, on Sept. 30.
