The College of Wooster men's and women's cross country teams each had a runner earn all-region status, as Luke Hutchings-Goetz and Colleen O'Neil both highlighted the Fighting Scots results at the NCAA Div. III Great Lakes Regional Championships on Saturday morning at Oberlin, Ohio.

The men's team, which was competing on an 8K course, took 25th-place overall, while the women placed 16th out of 36 schools in a 6K.

Hutchings-Goetz shaved over a minute off of his time from last year's regional, this time crossing the finish line in 26:01.60, which was good for 32nd-place. O'Neil, who just missed all-region status as a freshman, crossed in 30th among the women with a time of 22:33.80. All-region status is given to those who place in the top-35 of their respective race.

The women had two others record times inside the top-85, as Meredith Shaul took 54th in 23:00.86, and Sarah Appleton took 84th in 23:39.29. Next in line were Lauren Buyan (24:33.26) and Monica Ramstad (24:59.63).

On the men's side, Kevin DeGroot turned in Wooster's second-quickest finish, placing 108th in 27:21.50, while Morgan Clark (27:27.78) and Ethan Rudawsky (27:57.34) also crossed the finish line in under 28:00.
