The College of Wooster cross country teams both placed 11th among the 22 NCAA Div. III schools that competed at the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Championships Saturday at Cedarville, Ohio. Harriers from across the Buckeye State in all three NCAA divisions and NAIA competed at the annual meet, now hosted by Cedarville University.

Wooster's men's team was among the top half of its Div. III competition, and 27th overall out of the 44 Ohio schools, behind Luke Hutchings-Goetz's effort. He coasted across the 8,000-meter course in a 26:14.06 time, good for 12th-place among Div. III runners and 79th overall.

Hutchings-Goetz was complemented by teammates Morgan Clark, who was the 31st-fastest Div. III runner (26:50.34), as well as Joe David, Sam Swartz, and Jay Marshall, who ran closely together in 76th (27:49.08), 80th (27:54.18), and 84th (28:01.01), respectively.

The Scots' women's squad also finished 11th in Div. III (out of 21) and they were 24th overall (out of 43). Erin Plews-Ogan continued to pace the team, as she was 20th among competitors within her division and 50th of 298 total participants after covering the 5000 meters in 19:05.41.

Lauren Buyan, Colleen O'Neil, Chelsea Denlinger, and Erin Andrews-Sharer all provided strong support. Of the 146 Div. III runners, Buyan was 58th (20:05.88), O'Neil 71st (20:21.71), Denlinger 22nd (20:22.42), and Andrews-Sharer 82nd (20:45.03).

Wooster will be off from competition for two weeks until the WC Fall Classic, hosted by Wilmington College on Oct. 12.
