The College of Wooster's men's and women's cross country teams each had a standout performer at the NCAA Div. III Great Lakes Regional, as Luke Hutchings-Goetz turned in an all-region run for the second year in a row, while Erin Plews-Ogan earned the distinction for the first time in her career, highlighting the Scots' efforts Saturday at Alexandria, Ind.

Overall, the men and women each finished in the middle of the pack, as the men placed 17th out of 35 schools in an 8K, and the women were 15th of 33 in a 6K.

Hutchings-Goetz crossed the finish line 19th in the men's race with a time of 25:43.29, which was plenty good enough to earn his second straight all-region (top 35) honor. Last year, Hutchings-Goetz finished just inside the all-region cutoff in 32nd-place (26:01.60).

Wooster's other key performer on the men's side was Morgan Clark, who took 53rd in 26:23.33. After that, Sam Swartz and Kevin DeGroot came in together in 27:21.48 and 27:21.58, respectively, and Jay Marshall was next in 28:00.54.

Plews-Ogan became all-region with a time of 22:38.91, which secured her a 26th-place result. Lauren Buyan was the next Scot to score, as she placed 68th in 23:42.19, while Erin Andrews-Sharer (24:25.96), Chelsea Denlinger (24:31.77), and Monica Ramstad (24:46.43) finished reasonably close to one another.
