The College of Wooster field hockey team held a late 2-1 lead at DePauw University, one of just two North Coast Athletic Conference teams with one loss, but the Tigers rallied for two goals during the final four minutes of regulation for a 3-2 decision Saturday afternoon in Greencastle, Ind.

Taylor Thorp, less than 24 hours after her NCAC-record five-goal game at Earlham College, helped give Wooster (8-7, 6-5 NCAC) a 1-0 advantage against the 2012 NCAA Div. III Championship semifinalists, as she assisted on a Kerry O'Connor goal with 6:09 to play in the first half.

DePauw (11-4, 9-1 NCAC) evened the scoreboard early in the second half, but the tie didn't last long as Leah Prescott put the Fighting Scots up 2-1 on a rebound goal after Megan McGinley's initial shot had been blocked.

Thanks to a strong defensive effort, featuring 19 total saves by Meredith Farley and a defensive save by back Laura Kummer, Wooster continued to hold the lead until the Tigers finally broke through with the tying goal with just 3:41 remaining. DePauw rode the momentum, scoring again 2:19 later, which held up as the game-winner.

Farley's 19 saves equaled a career high, set earlier this season at home against DePauw.

The Scots, who remain in fourth-place and in good position to qualify for the NCAC Tournament, play host to the conference's other one-loss team, Denison University (13-1, 10-1 NCAC), on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
