The North Coast Athletic Conference named senior Titas Bera and junior Jesse DeWitt of The College of Wooster men's tennis team as all-NCAC recipients, the league announced Friday.
Bera, a first-team selection in singles for the second straight season, finished with a 21-5 overall singles record, including an 18-3 mark at No. 1 singles. The North Potomac, Md. native ended the season as the 15th-ranked player in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Region Poll – the third-highest ranking among NCAC East Division players – en route to his fourth all-conference certificate, marking only the fourth student-athlete in program history to earn the yearly conference honor in singles all four seasons. Bera posted a 14-match win streak during the season and ended his career in third in wins at No. 1 (52), sixth in overall singles wins (70), and seventh in combined wins (singles and doubles) at 121.
DeWitt partnered with Bera at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles throughout the year, as both claimed their first all-conference doubles certificate as honorable mention recipients. The duo went 4-4 at No. 2 and 4-8 at No. 1, including a 1-2 mark in NCAC East Division play.
