The College of Wooster's swimming and diving teams completed a sweep over Oberlin College, as the Fighting Scot men ran away with 166-93 victory and the women won 153-135, in a North Coast Athletic Conference dual meet Saturday at Timken Natatorium.

The men won 11 of 16 events, with Aaron Brown, Evan Hagedorn, Brian Maddock, and Zackary Pool each contributing towards three first-place efforts, including the 400 medley relay, which they all teamed up to win in a time of 3:45.17.

In addition, Brown touched the wall first in the 100 freestyle (50.84) and as a member of the 400 freestyle relay (3:28.77). Hagedorn took both breaststroke events, clocking in at 1:02.38 in the 100 and 2:20.21 in the 200. Maddock added triumphs in the 100 backstroke (54.94) and 100 butterfly (55.44). And Pool joined Brown as part of the winning 400 freestyle relay (3:28.77), while also pacing all competitors in the 200 butterfly (2:04.43).

The women's action was more closely-contested, as both Wooster and Oberlin won eight events apiece. Courtney McGovern and Jillian Saccogna each had a hand in three victories, with one coming as partners in the 400 medley relay (4:07.97) along with teammates Alexandra Desotelle and Morgan Hughes.

Other first-place finishes for McGovern came in the backstroke events, as she paced the competition in both the 100 (1:01.73) and 200 (2:13.81). Meanwhile, Saccogna swept both freestyle races, with times of 25:08 in the 50 and 55.72 in the 100.

Wooster's men and women each picked up a win in diving events as well, as Aaron Salzman scored the most points in the one meter event (207:45), and Theresa Spadola just edged out her lone opponent in the three meter event (163.30 to 161.90).

Next, the Scots compete against fellow northeast Ohio foe Case Western Reserve University on Friday at Cleveland, Ohio.
