Less than 24 hours after a close meet with nationally-ranked Case Western Reserve University, The College of Wooster swimming and diving teams were back at it, dominating Saturday's tri-meet at home with fellow North Coast Athletic Conference foe Hiram College and Olivet College. Wooster's men's team outscored Hiram 159-48 and Olivet 136-65, while the Fighting Scots' women's team won by similar scores of 155-54 and 130-55, respectively.

Headlining the men's competition were double winners Conner Gelwicks and Zackary Pool. Gelwicks displayed his versatility with a victory in the grueling 1650 freestyle (17:45.84), followed by teammate James Lorenzin (18:35.41), and later led the field in the 100 backstroke (55.93). Pool finished first in both the 100 (51.24) and 200 free (1:53.16), and complementing him with a runner-up effort in the former was Jacob Earle (52.26).

Avery Wilson added another freestyle win for Wooster, sprinting to 23.48 in the 50, while its strongest event may have been the 100 butterfly as James Love, Travis Burgess, and Aaron Brown went 1-2-3 with respective times of 57.37, 57.65, and 57.92.

Also of note, backstroke specialist Brian Maddock was entered in different events than usual, but the senior standout still produced top times in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.55) and 500 free (5:05.38).

The Scots swept the top-three positions in a number of women's events. Courtney McGovern touched the wall first in the 200 IM (2:16.91), with teammates Lena Smith (2:23.00) and Sarah Litt (2:23.19) coming in behind her. Jillian Saccogna paced a Wooster 1-2-3 in the 100 fly (1:03.45), followed by Smith (1:05.06) and Sarah Padrutt (1:06.99), while in the 100 back, it was Holly Hickman leading the way (1:04.43), then Litt (1:07.33) and Lissy de la Chapelle (1:08.66).

Caitlin Shea had a strong meet as she won the 500 free (5:37.28) and was second in the 200 (2:05.97) to teammate Anna McGlade (2:03.71).

Additionally, Erin Drake posted the fastest time in the 100 breast (1:12.42) and Theresa Spadola gave the Scots a boost with a victory in one-meter diving (165.50).

Next Saturday, Wooster will be at Westminster (Pa.) College for a dual meet.
