The College of Wooster and the University of Mount Union swim teams went back-and-forth through a series of tightly-contested races on Friday evening in Alliance, Ohio, but in the end, it was the host Purple Raiders who emerged with the dual-meet wins – 132-109 (men) and 129.5-111.5 (women).

In the women's meet, the Fighting Scots received individual victories from Anna McGlade in the 200 freestyle (2:02.79), Colleen Kill in the 400 IM (4:52.96), Morgan Hughes in the 100 butterfly (1:00.09), and Jillian Saccogna in the 100 freestyle (55.57), but they were ultimately done in by diving, getting outscored 30-6 during those events.

Ironically, Wooster had the upper hand in diving in the men's competition, with Aaron Salzman sweeping the one-meter (179.60) and three-meter (232.95). Another double winner was sprinter Aaron Brown, who paced the fields in the 50 (22.00) and 100 freestyles (49.15), while Brian Maddock rounded out the Scots' first-place finishers in the 100 backstroke (52.70).

Wooster is right back in action Saturday, hosting Albion College at 2 p.m.
