The College of Wooster swimming and diving teams remained unbeaten in the dual-meet portion of the schedule by sweeping Oberlin College, with the men coasting to a 207-87 win and the women gradually taking control during a 161-135 count on Saturday in Oberlin, Ohio.

For the men, it marked the first time the Fighting Scots have scored over 200 points in a dual meet since 238 against Defiance College on Jan. 18, 2014. The women took the lead for good during the 100 butterfly.

Back-to-back impressive 1-2-3 finishes by Wooster in the 100 breaststroke and 200 fly played a key role in the women's win. In the breast, Alexandra Desotelle led the trio, hitting the wall at 1:09.93. First-year Abby Blinka and senior Erin Drake were within six-tenths of a second of each other at 1:11.48 and 1:11.54 respectively. In the fly it was senior Sarah Litt (2:15.24) leading the charge ahead of Maggie Layde (2:16.26) and Kalla Sturonas (2:21.75).

Desotelle and Litt doubled up in the win column with wins in the 200 breast (2:33.55) and the 400 individual medley (4:53.32). Morgan Day doubled up as well with scores of 186.30 and 182.75 on the one-meter and three-meter diving boards respectively.

Wooster added two more individual wins on the women's side in Emma Fikse in the 100 free (54.91) and Layde in the 100 fly (1:01.94).

The quartet of Desotelle, Fikse, Layde, and Jamie Hibbs capped the meet with a winning time of 1:29.97 in the 200 free relay.

On the men's side, the Scots triumphed in 13 of the 16 events.

Chances were high a Gelwicks was on the winning end of a men's race brothers Cameron Gelwicks and Conner Gelwicks were a part of seven of the 11 first-place swimming events.

Cameron turned in individual wins in the 100 (48.99) and 1,000 (10:19.34) frees while Conner would win the 200 free (1:49.97), the 200 backstroke (1:59.99), and the 400 IM (4:32.92).

On relays, Cameron teamed with Burke Poeting, Griffin Campbell, and Garrett Layde in the 200 free (1:29.97) while Conner combined with Zackary Pool, Frayne Poeting, and Layde in the 200 medley (1:40.22).

Also among those adding to the 200-plus-point haul were double-winners Pool (100 back, 56.91; 100 fly, 54.14) and Aaron Salzman (one-meter, 223.55; three-meter, 209.05). Campbell (50 free) and Avery Wilson (200 fly) rounded out the winners.

Wooster opens the home portion of its schedule with a 6:30 p.m. dual against Case Western Reserve University on Friday.
