The College of Wooster women's swimming and diving team ran its dual-meet record to 5-1 with a decisive 195-98 victory over Westminster (Pa.) College, while the Fighting Scots' men's squad slipped to 4-2 following a competitive 40-point loss, 167-127, to the Titans inside Timken Natatorium at Wooster, Ohio, on Saturday.

Wooster dominated the women's meet from start-to-finish, winning both relays and 10 of the 14 individual events. Emma Fikse continued her standout rookie season by accounting for three of the first-place finishes herself.

After leading off the 200 medley relay (1:52.73), which also included Alexandra Desotelle, Kalla Sturonas, and Jamie Hibbs, Fikse paced the field in the 100 backstroke (1:03.14). Then, she led a 1-2-3 Scot finish in the 50 freestyle with a 25.69 time, followed by Hibbs (26.16) and Lissy de la Chapelle (26.29), and she closed her busy day with a victory in the 100 free (54.93).

There were two additional multi-event winners in the pool in Desotelle and Sarah Litt. Desotelle swept the breaststroke races, with marks of 1:09.56 in the 100 and 2:34.39 in the 200, while Litt took top honors in the 200 back (2:17.40) and 200 butterfly (2:14.16). Of note, Litt was nearly a triple winner, but was outreached at the wall in the 200 IM by four-tenths of a second, 2:21.15 to 2:21.55.

Also winning a pair of events was diver Morgan Day, who led the way on both the one-meter (200.65) and three-meter (199.85), while Maggie Layde contributed a first-place performance in the 200 free (2:01.97).

While Wooster displayed greater depth during the men's meet, Westminster secured the majority of first-place finishes, which propelled the visitors to the 40-point advantage.

Conner Gelwicks and Zackary Pool picked up victories for the Scots in the 100 backstroke (53.59) and 200 butterfly (1:59.91), respectively, as did diver Aaron Salzman in both the one-meter (241.05) and three-meter (234.10).

Wooster will now be off from competition until the annual Wooster Invitational, which will be Dec. 3-5.
