After receiving the baton from Jarrett Art, Antonio Bailey sprints the anchor leg of Wooster's winning 4x100 relay team (43.91) on Tuesday.

The College of Wooster track & field teams both took top honors at their own Wooster Quad, held Tuesday afternoon, as the men outscored their nearest competition by 80 points and the women by nearly 100. The three other schools at the meet were also North Coast Athletic Conference members in Denison University, Kenyon College, and Ohio Wesleyan University.

Behind 10 individual event wins, Wooster's men's team totaled 195 points, well clear of second-place Ohio Wesleyan (115). Matt Margida was a double winner in the throws, headlined by reaching a season-best 139 feet, 11 inches in the discus. He also topped the field in the shot put (46 feet, 6 inches).

Fellow first-place finishes in the field for the Fighting Scots included Tyler Catlin in the hammer (156 feet, 10 inches), John Petrecca in the high jump (6 feet), and Jacob Nowell in the pole vault (10 feet, 11.75 inches).      On the track, Jacob Denbeaux broke the two-minute barrier in the 800 meters (1:59.69) for the first time in his collegiate career while pacing a pack of 11 runners. Fellow freshmen Jackson Feinknopf had a breakthrough run in the 3000 meters (9:21.34) and Jarrett Art timed a season-best 23.35 in winning the 200, while other winners were Brian Lief in the 1500 (4:13.39) and Andrew Gold in the 400 hurdles (1:05.41).

Wooster's women's squad also recorded 10 individual event victories, led by double winners Taryn Szalay and Carolyn Webster, and totaled 204 points, followed Kenyon (107) in the standings. Szalay raced to the line first in the 100 hurdles (16.09) as well as the 200 meters (27.28), with a career best in the former, while Webster emerged victorious in the high jump (5 feet, 3 inches) and long jump (17 feet, 2.25 inches).

Standout seniors Paris Nahas and Hilary Coady excelled as usual in their final home meet, cruising to wins in the 100 (12.82) and 400 meters (58.15), and promising first-year Julia Higgins prevailed in one of Coady's specialty events, the 400 hurdles (1:09.52).

Scots atop their field events were Elizabeth Obi in the triple jump (33 feet, 1.75 inches), Lucy Cummins in the pole vault (8 feet, 6.25 inches), and Alyssa Kendrick in the javelin (79 feet, 2 inches).

Wooster will be back in action Saturday at the Kenyon Invitational.
