Defensive-minded player with a great work ethic, according to the coaching staff.

2015-16: Entered 24 of Wooster’s 25 games this season, including one start at Ohio Wesleyan (Jan. 6) … Strong defensive instincts, totaling 21 steals on the year, good for fourth-most on team … Posted two blocks and three steals, both career-highs, at Marietta (Nov. 24) ... Scored career-high 12 points against Franciscan (Nov. 14), in addition to grabbing three rebounds and dishing two assists. 

2014-15: Appeared in 24 contests, earning six starts along the way … Finished fifth on the team with 27 assists … Scored season-high eight points against Denison (Feb. 7) … Began February with three consecutive games with at least four rebounds … 2013-14: Played in 23 games as a first-year, averaging nearly 10 minutes as one of first guards off the bench … Had breakout game in win at Hiram (Feb. 12), with season highs in points (6), rebounds (3), and steals (2) … Recorded 10 steals on the year – sixth-most on the team.

Prior to Wooster: Member of the basketball team at nearby Smithville High School, which reached the state semifinals (Div. III) her freshman and junior years … Also a standout pole vaulter who placed seventh in the state as a senior.

Personal: Born on Aug. 30, 1995 … Daughter of Dan and Tonya Besancon … Majoring in sociology.
