Junior men's soccer student-athlete Manny Burton, junior women's basketball student-athlete Aubri McKoy, and men's soccer head coach Andy Zidron will be taking part in the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum this April in Orlando, Fla.

"We are excited for Aubri, Manny, and Coach Zidron to represent The College of Wooster at the Student-Athlete Leadership Forum, while gaining additional resources and skills that will further the mission for a positive experience for all individuals within our community and beyond," said athletic director Keith Beckett. "We are confident that Aubri and Manny provide a diverse representation of experiences, and through the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and other avenues, they have a very positive influence on our campus community."

"Coach Zidron is an influential and inspiring individual within our SAAC and provides strong leadership with the #oneWoo subcommittee, the men's soccer program, and within the athletic department," added Ashley Reid, the College's assistant athletic director for diversity, inclusion, compliance, and internal management, and the athletic department's senior woman administrator.

Started in 1997, the Leadership Forum engages a diverse and dynamic representation of student-athletes, coaches, faculty, and administrators. Student-athletes selected to attend the forum return to campus with invaluable leadership skills, the experience of exploring the relationship between personal values, core beliefs, and behavioral styles, a thorough understanding of the NCAA as a whole, the different divisional perspectives, and the valuable role of SAAC.

Currently, each Div. I and Div. II conference office selects a set number of student-athletes from among their active member institutions and an administrator from the conference office to represent their conference at the forum. For Div. III, each institution within an identified region is eligible to have the athletic administration nominate two student-athletes and one coach or administrator to attend on a first-come, first-serve basis.
